Why would I want training on ISTQB - I already know the HP software testing products, isn't that good enough? What makes this worth the effort?

Having skill in a test automation and/or management product is great! The Foundation Level exam tests for your knowledge in software testing. Certificate holders must be familiar with common testing concepts and terminology. Testing support tools are part of the exam, but not skill in use, instead knowledge of how to use them to support a testing effort.

Why would I want a certification in ISTQB? What is the benefit to me?

ISTQB is the most renowned scheme for certifying software testers. ISTQB certification tells employers that you have the knowledge and skill needed for testing challenges. Test managers say that testers show more confidence in testing after earning certification and that it helps in career development.
