The Exam
The Foundation Certificate is awarded to those who pass a written one hour multiple-choice exam which is set, moderated, marked and monitored by the American Software Testing Board (ASTQB). The exam is NOT included.

Who will benefit
This course is appropriate for testers, test team leaders, developers, development managers, business analysts, and anyone wishing to gain the ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.

None.  However we strongly suggest that delegates wishing to take the Foundation exam should have at least 6 months experience in testing.
Course Schedule
This version of the course is a structured self-paced course. You will have access to all course materials for 21 days; however, the timeline to complete the course is two weeks. An online meeting with your instructor will be scheduled every other day during the two weeks. A total of five meetings will be scheduled – Week 1 on Tuesday and Thursday; Week 2 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each day, there are two time slots to choose from: 2:00PM – 4:00PM ET or 7:00PM – 9:00PM ET. During the meeting your instructor can answer any questions and provide additional information about the topics covered through presentations or labs. Our goal is to prepare you for the ASTQB Foundation Level certification exam.

This course is backed by a guarantee! TCT guarantees that you will pass the Foundation exam if you complete all of the lessons, quizzes, and exercises and attend at least four of the five days of the instructor-led sessions. At the end of the two weeks of content and five instructor sessions, you have one additional week to take the exam. If you do not pass the exam, you can attend a public instructor-led training public class, which is already scheduled to run, at any TCT location free of charge! TCT will pay for you to retake the exam at the end of the public instructor-led training class.

Course Objectives
To provide an understanding of the fundamental principles of testing and explain different testing terminology.  The course also provides an overview of different techniques, both dynamic and static and how to apply them.
